We will spend exciting days together in the organic earth camp garden here at Laguna Farm, as we greet the spring and ready the land with seeding for this year’s bountiful harvests. Children will learn about soil, composting, worms, seed planting techniques, irrigation practices and more.

We will also be helping each other in our outdoor kitchen by preparing healthy snacks and talking about ways in which we benefit from the good meals that we can grow, create and eat.

Children will be introduced to daily life on a large CSA working farm, with “chicken time”, herbal crafting, greenhouses, and other fun ways to learn where their foods come from, and see how people all work together to create a local outlet for obtaining good nutrition.

We also will explain alternative energy sources, experience some hands on building projects, art, craft, dance, meditative and reflective times at the Laguna de Santa Rosa here at the farm, and will offer time for stories: reading, puppets, imaginative story telling, and sharing of personal experiences.

Total 8 week program cost per child:
Tuesday only: $ 240.00
Thursday only: $ 240.00
Tuesday and Thursday both: $ 400.00
To register, contact us at (707) 842-1700 or by email at info@earthcampcollective.org

If needed, we accept payments to allow parents to spread the cost over time and can discuss alternatives on a case by case basis. Payment can be made by cash or check at the time of drop off, or charge via our website. if you choose a payment plan, we will set it up to pay the same amount each payment, to be completed within the first three weeks of the series.

We ask for a commitment to the entire 8 weeks to encourage curriculum continuity, community building and bonding as well as giving parents and children the regularity of time well spent apart that can enrich each life, and the value of reconnections where the children can share their experiences each week about learning, growing and personal development.
